Risk Management

The teams at SPASA, Wise Connections, and Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), recognise the value of exciting displays and activities for the visiting public. We love that exhibitors are creative, and we want every expo to be successful.

To maintain a safe workplace, and ensure public safety, risk management processes are in place.

Every exhibitor should undertake their own risk assessment, and implement risk management strategies. Risk management plans must incorporate GCCEC’s requirements, organiser requirements, and government regulations.

In simple terms, this means:

  • Identify foreseeable risks / danger associated with bump in, bump out, and event day activities.
  • Assess risks for likelihood of occurrence and severity of damage - to person, property, and business.
  • Plan how to prevent occurrence or minimise damage.
  • Check that plans align with information outlined or linked in the exhibition manual.
  • Implement safe practices.
  • Document your assessment, plans, and actions.

A team approach to risk management is the best way to achieve success.

If you would like input into your risk management plans, please contact Wise Connections at splash@wiseconnections.com.au. Please note that we are specialists in event management, and will refer your enquiries to experts in other fields if necessary.

We look forward to helping you deliver a safe and exciting SPLASH! Trade Expo.
