Rigging of overhead banners, lighting trusses, and rigging to stabilise high displays, is permitted at 2024 SPLASH! Trade Expo, subject to SPASA approval.
Rigged banners and other items can only be rigged above/within your own stand footprint, and must not unreasonably block sightlines to other stands and feature areas.
Rigging plans must be submitted to Wise Connections by Friday 14 June. This includes plots, weights, and temporary smoke detector isolation requests.
Wise Connections will pass on rigging plans to SPASA for concept approval, and to GCCEC for safety approval.
All rigging top points must be installed and removed by a GCCEC team member. Charges will apply for this service.
GCCEC offers full rigging services for exhibitors, or exhibitors can engage their own preferred licensed rigger.
External contractors must carry out rigging installation and removal, at the time requested by the event organisers. GCCEC will not permit works on exhibition shell scheme prior to the installation of all rigging points and truss structures. So, adherence to the build schedule is vital.
